Community Organizer for Primary Healthcare Impact Lab (PHIL) 

The Community Organizer is responsible for supporting community engagement, stakeholder coordination, and strengthening local partnerships in the implementation of the Primary Healthcare Impact Lab (PHIL), particularly in Tegal Regency, Tegal City, and Brebes.


This position plays a role in establishing and facilitating the Community Advisory Board (CAB), Impact Forum, and various community engagement activities involving local communities, healthcare facilities, local governments, and civil society organizations to support the strengthening of primary healthcare services that are more people-centered, inclusive, and responsive to community needs.


In addition, this position supports the documentation of field learnings, identification of community issues and needs, as well as the development of recommendations for service improvement and strengthening the primary healthcare system.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Has an academic or professional background relevant to health issues, public policy, or social development
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Public Health, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or other related fields
  • Based in Tegal City, Tegal Regency, Brebes Regency, or surrounding areas
  • Has experience in community engagement, social initiatives, community organizing, or public health programs
  • Understands the context of local health systems and local government governance structures
  • Has experience collaborating with local governments or civil society organizations
  • Possesses strong public speaking skills
  • Able to prepare activity documentation and field reports effectively
  • Willing to contribute on an ad hoc basis according to program needs in the program locations
  • Willing to support program activities and field coordination based on PHIL implementation needs
  • Strong ability to build relationships and trust with communities (community trust building)
  • Understanding of or sensitivity to inclusivity and equity issues is an advantage (plus point)
