Price Elasticity Study: Two Part Model

This quantitative research used a two-part regression method to determine the impact of taxation and an increase of sweetened drinks on household calorie consumption using data from Susenas 2019. The sweetened drinks include two groups of drinks,1) bottled tea water and soft drinks/contains CO2 and 2) packaged fruit juices, healthy-drinks, and energy drinks. This study aims to estimate the impact of taxation on sugar sweetened drinks to the consumption of sweetened drinks and total household calorie consumption.
