The Center for Indonesia's Strategic Development Initiatives (CISDI) published Health Outlook 2020 to provide direction for the Government as well as a reference for other stakeholders in determining Indonesia's health policy improvement priorities. This study assesses the performance of Indonesia's health system in 2019 in a broad view according to the World Health Organization (WHO) conceptual framework. In anticipation of the Ministry of Health's Strategic Plan 2020-2024, CISDI formulated recommendations for quick wins based on explicit and implicit knowledge gained from working at the grassroots level as a Government partner since 2014.
