Unhealthy food products are everywhere, posing a serious threat to public health. In the context of drafting the Food and Drug Administration Regulation on Nutritional Information on Processed Food Labels, the Center for Indonesia's Strategic Development Initiatives (CISDI), together with the Indonesian Citizens' Forum (FAKTA), is pushing for the implementation of front-of-pack labeling on processed and ready-to-eat food products.

Various scientific evidence shows that evidence-based front-of-package labeling and community needs can help consumers avoid foods high in sugar, salt, and fat (SSF), which contribute to the increased risk of NCDs.
